This is really an interesting story! In the movie Bicentennial Man, the robot played by Robin Williams wants to become a human. I do not use a textbook in my class. Our classes are quite informal. I have tried some textbooks in the past, but did not find them very useful. For each class, I prepare a number of documents which I copy for the students. Usually I will have some newspaper or magazine articles about topics that may be of interest to the students. I will also bring some quizzes or questions about things like idioms and slang.  But mostly, I open the conversations up to the students. Sometimes they will tell me about a particular problem they are having. Or sometimes they will be very interested in a news event.

Hi,Mike!

    I had a busy weekend. It took me the majority of time  to have my E-bike repaired.The battery broke down. It cost me plenty of time to wait to fix and much money,hehe. The most important is that I couldn't come here in time. In addition, I took Siru to the piano teacher's to practice playing the piano.

   Mike,though i am not interested in the robots .I will force myself to watch movies, read books about robots.As a teacher, lt is never too old to learn.As a matter of fact ,this society needs all-round persons.If there were 25 hours one day,it would be not enough for me to learn .Thank you,my friend,I will collect the movie and TV show.I have searched them onGoogle.

Mike,I have got along well with my students.I work hard at my teaching plan, communicating with the students. I adjust myself in mood.I have won most students'  trust.I work hard and I am happy.  What a sweet  victory!

Mike, there used to be 5 foreign teachers from the States, Canada,Cameroon,the Philippinesworking in my school.But it stopped in 2008 for a variety of reasons .If you were the foreign teacher teaching students spoken Englishin mour school, it would be better.That is what I dream of.hehe.I enjoy your teaching methods though i have never attended your lectures in person.I am on fire for your teaching skills,but in China I am not able to follow the ways you have.Because we have the pressure of exams. But i try my best to teach Siru in your way.Yesterday we began to have  the English CDs on when driving,Siru was happy .

Mike, at the end of this month an open class is upon me .Acturally it is a teaching skills contest. It will focus on how much students will have learned in the contestants'class.I am not sure of it. I haven't prepared for it.

It is great that you have pleasant weather. Here it continues raining. Actually we will have low temperature of below zero this Wendesday. But the temperature will be as high as 16 celsus degree this weekend. As usual, it is strange weather nowadays.

Ride shortgun？I hope that you can tell me more about this expression. Seems that the seemingly meaning is different from real meaning. He He.

These days my son ofen express "rabish food" for some foods. It is just because that I often tell him of not eating too much fried food like KTC. He He. Sometimes when we eat out in KTC, he would point out that I should not eat these fried chikens as they are rabish food.. Seems humous.

I am sorry to hear about your bike. I assume that you are referring to a bicycle that also runs on electricity. I heard that in some parts of China, this kind of bike is treated as a bicycle but one powered by gasoline is considered to be like a car. Is this correct?

I have rarely been on motorcycles or these kinds of bikes and have never driven one myself. But I know that they are very popular in China. I rode on them a few times last summer. A little strange to me. Hehe!

I am really sorry to hear that you do not have any foreign teachers now. I think that it can be wonderful for both the students and other teachers. I also know that some bad situations have arisen because of misbehavior of some of the teachers. This is embarrassing to me. I hope that this is not what happened at your school. Maybe you can tell me the situation. I would also like to hear about your experiences with and feelings about the teachers.

My teaching is quite different than normal classroom teaching. I am teaching adults that are not trying to pass any exams (although I have helped some people with some exam preparation). Mostly, they are just trying to improve their communication skills and to learn about life in America. If I were teaching children in China, my methods would need to be quite different. For me, it is quite easy. I do not have to do much preparation to do and I do not have to worry about the behavior and attitude of my students. I am a lucky guy!

It is lovely here again today. I am glad that I will run some errands and see the sunshine. I do not have an office in my window. So it is nice to get outside.

Hmmm. I am not sure about “rabish” food. I wonder if he means rubbish food. Rubbish is another word for trash or garbage. Sometimes we call such foods junk food. Hehe!

I am happy to explain about riding shotgun. In the days of exploration in the Western US, things were rather wild. They would carry goods in wagons pulled by horses. Often robbers would come to steal the products. Therefore, a man would often sit next to the driver carrying a shotgun to ward off these attacks. Ever since, we have called this “riding shotgun”. Hehe!

I hope that the weather turns nicer there.

         Yes , I were very close with my grandfa,  he was a so strange and tall man ,  he was 83 years old   this year .
   There was some thing wrong with his ear ,so he  can only  hear a little .  SO there were so many funny thing happened in our dairy life ..   He often speak loudly ,try to make himself heard ..H e is so cute .  etc
      Everything will be fine ,I know ..


    I will come often , also want to make new fr iends.
